Driving Miss Daisy

Presented by Hit Productions

The renowned play that inspired the Academy Award Winning film, this wonderful character-driven story explores the relationship of Daisy, an elderly Jewish widow living in Atlanta, who is forced to hire Hoke, a black driver. It follows their relationship over 20 years from 1948 to the early 1970's, growing from rocky beginnings to a deep friendship as Miss Daisy is won over by Hokes gentle honest charm. The explosive racial tensions of the Deep South provide a provocative background as the interdependent relationship of these two Southern allies develops.
