The first lady of Covent Garden, Dame Nellie Melba, hailed from rural origins in Victoria. In the tradition of Melba’s endless farewell concerts, this concert tells the turbulent tale of the life of the first great international superstar of opera and is a fitting farewell to the Goldfields Arts Centre Recital Series for 2010.
